New Years Eve

This year we spend New Years with my family. We went sledding in the afternoon (see previous post) then we had a party for the kids. We bobbed for donuts, played musical chairs and then at our own "midnight" we banged our pots and pans and sprayed silly string....EVERYWHERE! They had a lot of fun together. It is always a party when the cousins get together. Then we put the kids to bed and the adults played some games together. We even got my dad to play some with us. He is always the life of the party and can get us all laughing. It was a fun New Years Eve. I always get sad when the holidays are over and our families go home. Sure wish they all lived closer!

The older cousins went first to show them how it is done.

Most of the cousins minus Jax and Sadie.

Our midnight celebration. I'm sure the neighbors were wondering it we knew what time it really was!

Grandpa and Jaxston. He even got in on the festivities.

Spraying the silly string everywhere!

We went tubing when my sisters were here over New Years. The kids always love to go to the same place. They always have a lot of fun. I am not a big fan of the cold, but I went because I thought they weren't going to last very long. I was surprised they lasted as long as they did. We were there for a few hours but it was a lot of fun.

Grandma's 90th Birthday Party!

My grandma turned 90 this year so we had a little celebration for her. We all went out to dinner. Everyone was there, which was s first in a long time. We even got to see my cousins kids who we haven't been able to have much contact with for years. These pictures are courtesy of my kids! They took the camera and took some pictures for themselves. Unfortunately I didn't take any so these are the only ones that I got.

Christmas Day 2009

Okay so here are the only pictures that I took on Christmas. It was kind of a different Christmas this year. Nate was sick in bed and so was my mom, dad and brothers. It was a very quiet day. I waited until the next day to get sick...after Nate had gone back to work. I can't believe that these were the only pictures I took. Jaxston didn't know what to think. He of course was thrilled with the paper. The girls seemed to like what they got. Brinley got another American Girl doll and Halle got the American girl boy twin to match her girl she got last year. Kids make Christmas so much fun! I am always so excited to see their expressions on their faces.

Christmas outfits

I am surprised that he was even smiling at this. I LOVE this picture!

Here are the yearly Christmas pictures that we took. It is SO much harder getting three to smile for the camera....wait even getting them to look at the camera is next to impossible. By the time we got Jax to smile, the other two were looking at him to see his smile. So this is the best that we got this year. I couldn't decide which ones I wanted so I just put them all in here. Enjoy!

SO Far behind....

This post is so overdue, but I keep putting it off and putting it off. Christmas came and went way too fast and I could not keep up. I have so many more fun posts, but I know that I need to post about our Christmas first so I can get my blog put into a book for this last year. So here goes....

This laundry basket has been a favorite toy for my kids. They can get Jax to laugh so hard. Who knew that it had so many uses? We have definitely got our money out of this purchase!
